Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions form the basis upon which Drive 2 Pass Bristol provides driving tuition. By booking lessons, you agree to these terms.
1. Driving Licence Requirements
- You must hold a valid driving licence (provisional, full, or international) and present it on or before your first lesson.
2. Fitness to Drive
- You must be fit and legally able to drive for each lesson.
- You must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any medication that may impair your driving.
- If you are unwell or taking medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist to ensure it does not affect your ability to drive.
- If there is any suspicion of impairment due to illness, alcohol, or drugs, your instructor reserves the right to cancel your lesson or refuse use of the car for the driving test.
- You may be required to provide a breath sample if suspected of being over the legal alcohol limit.
3. Payments & Cancellations
- Tuition fees must be paid in advance.
- Payment methods accepted: Cash, Bank Transfer, or Pingit.
- Cheque payments: If a cheque is refused by the bank, a £25 administration fee will apply.
- Cancellations:
- 24 hours’ notice is required for lessons of up to 2 hours.
- 4 days’ notice is required for lessons longer than 2 hours.
- Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the lesson cost.
- Lessons may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
- 24 hours’ notice is required for lessons of up to 2 hours.
- 4 days’ notice is required for lessons longer than 2 hours.
- Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the lesson cost.
4. Bookings & Lesson Duration
- We aim to provide regular lesson slots each week but cannot guarantee availability.
- The minimum lesson duration is 1 hour.
- If your instructor is delayed by more than 15 minutes, this time will either:
- Be added to your lesson, or
- Carried over to a future lesson, depending on scheduling availability.

5. Training Locations
- Lessons start and finish at the same location, unless agreed otherwise.
- Your instructor will determine safe locations for practical lessons.
- If needed, your instructor may drive you to and from an appropriate training area; this travel time is included in your lesson.
6. Training Vehicles
- Our training vehicles are:

✅ Taxed and roadworthy
✅ Fitted with dual controls for safety - If you wish to use your own vehicle for lessons, you must provide:
- Proof of insurance coverage for professional tuition.
- A valid MOT certificate (if required).
- Road tax confirmation.

7. Driving Tests & Bookings
- Your instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the driving school vehicle for your test if they believe it may pose a risk to public safety.
- If using a school vehicle for your driving test:
- A minimum 2-hour booking is required.
- Additional time may be needed, depending on test location and schedule.
- While every effort is made to ensure the vehicle is in full working order, the instructor is not responsible for unexpected vehicle failure during the test.
- Your instructor cannot be held liable for test cancellations made by the DVSA. However, they can advise you on claiming compensation where applicable.
- A minimum 2-hour booking is required.
- Additional time may be needed, depending on test location and schedule.
8. Code of Conduct
- Your instructor abides by the Professional Code of Conduct for driving instructors.
- Lessons are conducted in a calm, patient, and professional manner.
9. Your Rights
- These terms and conditions do not affect your rights under consumer protection laws.
- Drive 2 Pass Bristol reserves the right to update these terms as necessary but will notify pupils of any changes as soon as possible.
